Appointments are available from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We also see patients on an emergency basis as needed. Our practice is limited to diseases and surgery of the retina. Upon your arrival, our staff will enter and update your registration and insurance information. Please have your insurance cards, driver license, a list of current medications, and your copay/deductible. You may fill our your registration forms prior to your arrival. Those forms are available here.
Please remember that the length of your appointment time can very depending on the severity of your eye condition. As we are mainly a referral practice, we are sometimes faced with unpredictable emergencies that require immediate attention. This can sometimes cause our appointment schedule to become delayed. We strive to give each patient the attention and care they deserve.
We do our best to see patients in a timely and efficient manner. Due to the complexity of diseases and the necessary testing, some appointments may require over 2 hours. You will initially be seen by one of our technicians. They will take your medical and ocular history, check your vision and dilate your eyes. The physician will then examine you. Based on their findings, you may need further testing such as photography, fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography and ultrasound. If you need treatment, such as a laser or an intra-ocular injection, this may be done the same day or scheduled for another time. If one needs surgery, this will be scheduled.
