Doctors Barry Mandell and Adam Lipman are both highly trained experts in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases involving the retina and vitreous. They have contributed to cutting edge research and advancements in their field. For nearly twenty years, Dr. Mandell has been on the clinical faculty of Eastern Virginia Medical School and has helped treat retinal disease in premature infants at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. Meet Dr. Mandell
Following completion of his fellowship training, Dr. Mandell joined the Retina Consultants of St. Louis (Barnes Retina Institute) where he was on the clinical faculty of Washington University from 1993-1998. During that period, he served as the Director of Retina Fellowship training. A native Virginian, he returned to the Tidewater area in 1998 and ultimately founded the Mandell Retina Center in 2007.More about Dr. Mandell
Meet Dr. Lipman
Adam Lipman, MD, specialized in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of conditions that affect the retina and vitreous.
Dr. Lipman is a Board-certified ophthalmologist as well as a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Surgeons. He has academic publications, and has presented at numerous meetings.More about Dr. Lipman
